Standard Sizes – Letter (8.5″ x 11″) – Legal (8.5″ x 14″) – Tabloid (11″ x 17″)
You can do almost anything with a brochure… promote an event, update products or services, showcase your business, product, or services… they are no longer limited to the traditional tri-fold. With the right layout and content, you will be able to create an excellent presentation.Your brochure choices in design, fold, and layout are all open to your imagination.
Brochures are typically single sheet documents (although available as multi-sheet as well) and are available in many sizes and styles. The folds of your brochure determine how your information is communicated.
Brochure Styles Ideas – (these styles are achieved by using the standard sizes noted above – legal and tabloid sizes allow for added space for your content):
Tri-fold Brochure (letter / legal):
Standard tri-fold brochures use 6 panel and allow for excellent layout of your text and graphics.
Accordion or Z-fold Brochure (letter / legal):
Because the panels do not fold into one another, this brochure looks like a “fan”. Generally used for smaller amounts of content, the Z-fold brochure works best as a 3 panel document.
Double Parallel Brochures (letter / legal):
This straightforward presentation is often used to produce 8 panel brochures.
Program or Bookfold Brochure (letter / legal / tabloid):
Bookfold brochures are increasing in popularity. In this case, by folding your document in half, 4 panels or sides are available for use.
Many companies use a tabloid size (11×17) brochure, folded in half, as an economical product catalog.
Full Sheet Brochure – No Fold (letter / legal):
Full sheet brochures are often used for product sheets. See also sell sheets and flyers.
Your brochure should motivate the reader to pick it up and read it. Content and style are extremely important. In addition to your company name, logo and slogan or tag line, your brochure should contain a brief bio of your company, contact information including phone, fax, address, email and web address as well as descriptions and benefits of your products or services. Before submitting information for your brochure layout and design, be sure to have relevant, complete, edited content.
